Bobby Dobroski, Owner & CPR Instructor Trainer of DobroSKILLS LLC

Bobby is an American Red Cross Instructor Trainer with a wealth of experience, having been an instructor since 2016. He has taught a diverse range of students, including early education professionals and members of the public, throughout the Chicagoland area. Bobby holds a master’s degree in Early Childhood Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from National-Louis University. With over 20 years of experience in the administration and supervision of early childhood schools and camps, his expertise has been integral to the local community.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Bobby is a dedicated father of two active boys and has a deep passion for running. He has completed an Ironman Triathlon and over twenty marathons in eleven states across the U.S.

Mark your calendars, Aurora! One of our favorite community events of the year is just around the corner, and the DobroSKILLS team will be there live and in action.

On Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the Aurora Regional Fire Museum will host its annual Community Hero Day. This incredible, family-friendly event brings together citizens, safety educators, and local heroes from Aurora and surrounding communities for a day packed with hands-on fun, vital safety education, and exciting demonstrations.

Whether you want to explore emergency vehicles or learn how to save a life in an emergency, there is something for everyone.

At DobroSKILLS, our mission is to empower you with the skills and confidence to act in an emergency. Certified Red Cross Instructor Bobby Dobroski will be on-site hosting free educational sessions and demonstrations throughout the day.

10:30 AM – Hands-Only CPR Certification Class Learn the fundamentals of hands-only CPR from Red Cross Instructor Bobby Dobroski and walk away with the knowledge and certification to make a difference in a cardiac emergency.
11:30 AM – Stop the Bleed Demonstration Join us at the DobroSKILLS tent for a live demonstration on how to control life-threatening bleeding. Seconds count in an emergency, and we’ll show you exactly what to do.
12:30 PM – Hands-Only CPR Certification Class Missed the morning session? Catch our second free certification class of the day!
All Day Long (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM) – Interactive CPR Practice & Q&A Have questions about CPR, AEDs, or first aid? Want to test your skills? Come to the DobroSKILLS tent anytime during the event to practice compressions on a manikin and get your safety questions answered by our experts.

🚒 Fun for the Whole Family: What Else to Expect

Community Hero Day is an incredible opportunity for the Aurora, IL region to get up close and personal with the vehicles and people that serve our community daily.

Touch-a-Truck: Kids and adults alike can explore an impressive lineup of community vehicles, spanning from police cruisers and fire trucks to vital community service vehicles.
Safety Education: Connect with numerous safety providers from across the region to gather resources, tips, and tools to keep your household safe.
The Grand Finale Live Burn Demonstration: You won’t want to miss the event's spectacular conclusion. In partnership with the Northern Illinois Fire Sprinkler Advisory Board and the Aurora Fire Department, the museum will host a live burn demonstration. This powerful demonstration showcases exactly how quickly fire can spread, while highlighting the life-saving importance of fire sprinklers in protecting lives and property.
