Class Description

The goal of the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers class (BLS) is to ensure that healthcare providers have the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. The course emphasizes active, hands-on learning and uses scenario activities to help participants learn how to provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve an obstructed airway for adult, child, and infant patients.

This class is a Blended Learning Class which gives students the ability to do most of the training online then attend an in-person session to test their skills.

Participants who successfully complete the online and in-person portions will receive  an American Red Cross Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers r.21.  Certificates are valid for two years and will be issued in about one business day after the in-person class. Certificates are delivered via e-mail and can be found on the Red Cross Website.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your classes OSHA approved?

Our Basic Life Support and Adult and Pediatric First Aid/AED/CPR classes are OSHA approved.

I started my online training but I lost the link to the American Red Cross Learning Center.

After you created your account with the Red Cross with the link that was sent to you via email after you registered, you can login at the American Red Cross Learning Center

How do I provide proof of completion if the FA/CPR/AED online course does not produce a “proceed to skill session” certificate?

There are two ways to show proof:

1) Students are welcome to simply print or show an electronic copy of the email they receive stating they have completed the online coursework.

2) If a student can’t provide proof of completion, we can provide the option for them to take the written test.
