Featured by the American Red Cross: Why CPR Instructors Love What They Do

On March 16, 2026, the American Red Cross shared a special post across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook for National Red Cross Instructors Day—highlighting the heart behind CPR training: the instructors.
The post didn’t just recognize instructors—it told their stories.
Each featured instructor shared why they love teaching life-saving skills.
I’m honored to say that I, Bobby Dobroski, CPR Instructor and owner of DobroSKILLS CPR, was featured as part of that campaign.
A Campaign About Purpose
The American Red Cross post focused on a simple but powerful idea:
“Our instructors are the reason so many people feel ready to help when it matters most.”
Alongside that message, instructors from across the country were highlighted—each one sharing what motivates them to teach CPR, First Aid, and other life-saving skills.
This wasn’t just recognition. It was a reminder that behind every trained responder is an instructor who made it click.
Why I Love Teaching CPR
As part of the spotlight, I was featured with this message:
“Bobby loves the active nature of being a hands-on instructor and connecting with people.”
That’s exactly why I do this.
Teaching CPR isn’t about lectures or slides—it’s about:
Getting people involved
Making training hands-on and realistic
Building confidence through action
Connecting with people in a way that sticks
Because when an emergency happens, there’s no script.
People fall back on what they practiced.
From National Spotlight to Local Impact
Being featured by the American Red Cross is an incredible honor—but the real impact happens in local communities.
That’s what drives DobroSKILLS CPR.
Every class I teach is built around the same idea highlighted in that campaign:Make it real. Make it hands-on. Make it stick.
Train With Purpose
If you’ve ever thought about learning CPR, now is the time.
The same passion you saw highlighted in the National Red Cross Instructors Day campaign is what you’ll experience in every DobroSKILLS CPR class.
You won’t just learn what to do—you’ll practice it until you feel ready.
Final Thought
Every instructor has a reason they teach.
Mine is simple:
Because someone, somewhere, will need you to know what to do.
