The Aurora Regional Fire Museum will host a series of free Hands-Only CPR classes on Thursday, June 6, 2025, in downtown Aurora, IL. These 45-minute classes, led by American Red Cross Instructor Trainer Bobby Dobroski of DobroSKILLS CPR, offer the community a chance to learn critical, life-saving skills in a short, approachable format.
Classes will begin at 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM, and 7:00 PM, and while walk-ins may be accommodated, pre-registration is strongly encouraged as space is limited.
This event coincides with National CPR and AED Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about how CPR, especially when performed immediately, can double or triple a cardiac arrest victim’s chance of survival. According to the American Red Cross, many people who survive a cardiac emergency were helped by a bystander. You could be that bystander.
In these instructor-led sessions, participants will learn Hands-Only CPR, which focuses on chest compressions without mouth-to-mouth breaths. It’s a simple, yet powerful technique that can help sustain life until emergency responders arrive.
Whether you're a parent, teacher, coach, or community member, knowing CPR is a skill that could one day save a life. And now is the perfect time to learn.
