Who You Gonna Call? CPR Saves Lives — Even Ghostbusters Know That!

At DobroSKILLS CPR, we take safety seriously — but we’re never afraid to have a little fun while spreading lifesaving knowledge! 👻

Recently, Bobby Dobroski, owner of DobroSKILLS CPR and a licensed American Red Cross Training Provider, teamed up with his sons to make a playful Instagram Reel inspired by one of his favorite movies: Ghostbusters.

Bobby’s a huge Ghostbusters fan — so much so that he built his own custom cosplay suit and proton pack! In the Reel, Bobby and his boys asked the iconic question:

“Who you gonna call?”

And while the movie says Ghostbusters, when it comes to a real-life emergency, the answer is clear:📞 Call 911 and start care immediately.

What To Do in an Emergency

If someone is unconscious and not breathing (or only gasping for air), here’s what to do:

  1. Call 911 (or your local emergency number).

  2. Start CPR right away.

When performing First Aid Responder CPR:

  • Give 30 chest compressions in the center of the chest, on the lower part of the sternum.

  • Push hard and fast — at a rate of 100–120 beats per minute (bpm).

  • Go at least 2 inches deep, and allow the chest to fully rise between compressions.

Here’s a fun fact: the Ghostbusters theme song by Ray Parker Jr. is 116 bpm, which makes it the perfect rhythm to follow while giving chest compressions! So if you ever find yourself needing to perform CPR — just think of the beat and remember, “Who you gonna call?”
