DobroSKILLS and the Aurora Regional Fire Museum Team Up on Good Morning Aurora Podcast to Champion CPR Education

Earlier today, Bobby Dobroski of DobroSKILLS CPR joined Brian Falling, Executive Director of the Aurora Regional Fire Museum, as special guests on the Good Morning Aurora podcast — the city's first daily news show airing Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m.

During the episode, Bobby brought in adult, child, and infant Prestan CPR manikins and performed a live demonstration of a full CPR cycle, including the use of an AED trainer. Viewers saw firsthand how compressions and quick action can make the difference in a cardiac emergency.

Bobby also shared compelling statistics from the American Red Cross, emphasizing that individuals who receive bystander CPR during an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest have a significantly better chance of survival than those who do not. “You’re most likely to perform CPR on someone you love — in your own home,” Bobby said. “Brain damage can start within 8 to 10 minutes without oxygen. With EMS response time averaging 7.6 minutes, bystander CPR is absolutely critical.”

Brian Falling highlighted a major achievement from the past school year: a collaboration between DobroSKILLS and the Aurora Regional Fire Museum to teach over 600 sophomores and juniors at East Aurora High School how to perform adult and child CPR and properly use a fire extinguisher.

Brian also announced two exciting upcoming events:

The episode offered not just practical knowledge, but a passionate reminder that CPR training saves lives—and that education is a powerful tool for change.
