DobroSKILLS CPR is excited to announce the addition of Wilderness & Remote First Aid Training to our course lineup! This comprehensive two-day course is ideal for Scouts, Scout leaders, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone who works or spends time in remote environments where EMS response may be delayed by 60 minutes or more.
What You’ll Learn in the Wilderness and Remote First Aid Training
Participants gain practical, hands-on experience managing emergencies in challenging outdoor conditions. Topics include:
Advanced first aid for remote settings
Treatment of environmental injuries and illnesses
Evacuation strategies and patient assessment
Improvisation with limited supplies
This American Red Cross course follows the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and aligns with OSHA’s Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs. Training takes place both indoors and outdoors for a realistic learning experience.
Prerequisites
Participants must be at least 14 years old and hold a current Adult CPR/AED certification. Need CPR/AED training too? DobroSKILLS can include it as part of your program package.
Group & On-Site Training Options
Private on-site courses are available for groups of 6–10 participants—perfect for Scout troops, adventure clubs, and outdoor professionals. Public course dates will be announced in 2026, so stay tuned for scheduling updates.
