About The Class
Designed for scouts and scout leaders, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who works or spends time in remote environments, this course teaches advanced skills to be used in emergencies when help from professional first responders may be far away. Based on the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines, this course aligns with OSHAâs Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs.

This is a two day course weekend course that goes from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day. There is also required pre-work as part of this training that is done online.
Prerequisites: Must be at least 14 years old and hold current adult CPR/AED certification. Students earn certification in Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED.

This is a two day course taught indoors and outdoors! This is a great class if you are looking for more in depth hands on first aid training. This is also a great training if you are in a remote area where EMS is 60 minutes or more away from your location.
Students who complete the course will earn a certification in Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED r.25 with Wilderness and Remote First Aid.

The museum is a community-focused space offering public history exhibits, educational programs, and group tours. DobroSKILLS CPR uses the museumâs second-floor meeting space to host public CPR and BLS classes open to the community in a comfortable, professional learning environment.
The Aurora Regional Fire Museum is centrally located in Downtown Aurora, approximately 3.7 miles south of Interstate 88 (ChicagoâKansas City Expressway). Free public parking is available on the east side of the building, making it easy for students traveling from Aurora, Naperville, North Aurora, Montgomery, and surrounding Fox Valley communities.

Is Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Administration covered in the base First Aid/CPR/AED Course?
In the Blended Learning First Aid/CPR/AED r.25 courses we teach, general care with signs and symptoms are covered in the online portion. Hands on practice with a variety of auto-injectors and nasal spray is done in the Skill Booster Class.
How long do your certifications last?
Most Red Cross certificates we issue last for two years from the date of your training. All certificates are digital and sent to your email with in one business day of the successfully completed class.

What is A Blended Learning (BL) Class?
A Blended Learning (BL) Class gives students the ability to do most of the training online then attend an in-person session to test their skills. The online portion can range from 30 minutes to 3 hours long depending on technology limitations and familiarity with the skills. The in-person session is typically 2 hours and 30 minutes long.
Is Adult & Pediatric CPR certification the same as Basic Life Support certification?
No. Both classes share similarities but they are different courses. The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course is designed for first responders while the Basic Life Support class is designed for responders in a healthcare setting.
