Do you work with families and want to make sure they are First Aid Ready?  Take this course to become your own First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor.   You should already be certified in Adult First Aid/CPR/AED or equivalent to take this course.  Be ready for the course by taking a First Aid/CPR/AED course with DorboSKILLS.

Is This Class Right For You?

The instructor class is appropriate for:

  • Companies wishing to teach their own staff CPR Skills.

  • Induvial wishing to start their own CPR training companies.

  • Providers working with families wishing to educate safety and first aid.

Instructor Candidates who sign up should be prepared to:

  • Show proof of a current basic-level certification in Adult CPR/AED (or higher-level) from the American Red Cross or an equivalent. See Page 2 of Document Instuctions for NEW (First-Time) Instructor Canidates.

  • Demonstrate mastery of the skills to the standard that are outlined in the Pre-Course Work and Preparation for Approved First Aid/CPR/AED IT Candidates

  • Teach any of the knowledge and skills to the standard of the First Aid/CPR/AED r.25 program and be able to incorporate the use of video, course presentation, instructor materials and student materials during your assignments.

  • Use materials, equipment, etc. as outlined in the manuals.

  • Become familiar with the Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Blended Learning materials and online session located on the Red Cross Learning Center

This class is an American Red Cross Class.

This course will train instructor candidates to teach basic-level American Red Cross First Aid CPR and AED courses. In order to participate in this course you must possess a current basic-level American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED (or higher level) certification or equivalent and be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course. Upon registration it is important that you review and follow the directions on the e-mail attachment sent with your registration confirmation. This is a blended learning course consisting of online content a skills session and classroom segments. Online material must be completed prior to attending the classroom activities. Aurora Regional Fire Museum in Aurora, IL

DobroSKILLS CPR offers American Red Cross–aligned CPR, First Aid, and BLS classes at the Aurora Regional Fire Museum, located in Aurora, Illinois’ historic original Central Fire Station in Downtown Aurora.

The museum is a community-focused space offering public history exhibits, educational programs, and group tours. DobroSKILLS CPR uses the museum’s second-floor meeting space to host public CPR and BLS classes open to the community in a comfortable, professional learning environment.

The Aurora Regional Fire Museum is centrally located in Downtown Aurora, approximately 3.7 miles south of Interstate 88 (Chicago–Kansas City Expressway). Free public parking is available on the east side of the building, making it easy for students traveling from Aurora, Naperville, North Aurora, Montgomery, and surrounding Fox Valley communities.
