Class Description

Many people who survive a cardiac emergency are helped by a bystander. You can learn how to perform Hands-Only CPR – so that you can help deliver life-saving care until professional responders arrive. This class is approxmatly 30-45 minutes long and is insturctor led.

There is no online learning with this course but you are encouraged to learn more about Hands-Only CPR on the American Red Cross Website.

Is This Class Right For You?

The Hands-Only Certifcation in not an OSHA approved class. If you need CPR training for your workplace you may need a differnt certifcation such as Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.

This class is an American Red Cross Class.

Always check with your employer for certification requirements.

Course Length

This course is about 45 minutes to 1 hour long. There is not online class but it is enoucrged to watch the hands only CPR video from the American Red Cross before attending.

Is Hands Only CPR and CPR Online Only classes OSHA approved?

NO. To receive a valid 2-year Red Cross digital certificate that is OSHA compliant and meets other workplace and regulatory requirements, you must enroll in an instructor-led skill session or Blended learning training.

Should I give breaths with CPR?

Studies have shown that a person in cardiac arrest has the best chance of survival with a combination or chest compressions, rescue breaths and application of an AED. If you are unwilling or unable to give full CPR compression only CPR is acceptable.
