Class Description

The Adult First Aid/ CPR/AED class focuses on skills helping adults. The purpose of the courses in the First Aid/CPR/AED program is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies to know how to care for a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.


This class is a Blended Learning Class which gives students the ability to do most of the training online then attend an in-person session to test their skills.


Participants who successfully complete the online and in-person portions will receive  an American Red Cross Certification in Adult First Aid/CPR AED r.25.  Certificates are valid for two years and will be issued in about one business day after the in-person class. Certificates are delivered via e-mail and can be found on the Red Cross Website.

If you are not in healthcare but need Child and infant CPR training, you may need the Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Class

This class is an American Red Cross Class.

Course Length

The online portion can range from 30 minutes to 3 hours and 30 minutes long depending on technology limitations and familiarity with the skills. Participants will receive a training link in an email after they booked a class. Participants must have the online portion completed before coming into the scheduled in-person session. The in-person session is typically 1 hour and 45 minutes long. 

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I give breaths with CPR?

Studies have shown that a person in cardiac arrest has the best chance of survival with a combination or chest compressions, rescue breaths and application of an AED. If you are unwilling or unable to give full CPR compression only CPR is acceptable.

What should I wear to the in person training?

We ask participants to dress in layers, wear appropriate coverage, and have a hair tie or band if you have long hair. Checkout the class checklist for details.

What is A Blended Learning (BL) Class?
