

Wildlife and Remote First Aid with CPR
Online & two day in-person training in Wilderness and Remote First Aid with Adult Pediatric CPR/AED.
Service Description
Designed for scouts and scout leaders, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who works or spends time in remote environments, this course teaches advanced skills to be used in emergencies when help from professional first responders may be far away. Based on the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines, this course aligns with OSHA’s Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs. Topics include: *Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED *Primary and Secondary Assessments *Head/Brain, Neck and Spinal Injuries *Heat-Related Emergencies *Hypothermia *Altitude-Related Illnesses *Allergies and Anaphylaxis *Burns *Bone and Joint Injuries *Wounds and Wound Infection This is a two day course weekend course that goes from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day. This Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED poriton is a Blended Learning Class. This gives students the ability to do most of the training online then attend an in-person session to test their skills. The rest of the class is in-person and is a combination of lecture, discussion and skill practice. Participants who successfully complete the online and in-person portions will receive and American Red Cross Certification in Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED r.25 with Wilderness and Remote First Aid. Certificates are valid for two years and will be issued in about one business day after the in-person class. Certificates are delivered via e-mail and can be found on the Red Cross Website.
