Basic Life Support - Blended Learning
Online & instructor led training for a two-year certificate Red Cross Basic Life Support.
Service Description
The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers program is to equip responders with the skills to quickly recognize cardiac arrest, provide high-quality CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) to improve patient outcomes. This training also addresses other life-threatening emergencies that can lead to cardiac arrest if not promptly managed. These include respiratory arrest, drowning, opioid overdose, myocardial infarction, life-threatening bleeding and obstructed airway. This class is a Blended Learning Class which gives students the ability to do most of the training online then attend an in-person session to test their skills. Participants who successfully complete the online and in-person portions will receive an American Red Cross Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers r.25. Certificates are valid for two years and will be issued in about one business day after the in-person class. Certificates are delivered via e-mail and can be found on the Red Cross Website.
