Babysitter Training With First Aid & CPR

Service Description

The American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training program is designed to provide youth ages 11-16 who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to give care safely and responsibly to children and infants. The goal of this training is to help participants develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business; keep themselves and others safe; and learn childcare skills and basic first aid. This will also include a Two year certification in Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. The Adult & Pediatric First Aid/ CPR/AED class focuses on skills helping adults, children and infants. The purpose of the courses in the First Aid/CPR/AED program is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies to know how to care for a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. The CPR is a Blended Learning Class which gives students the ability to do most of the training online then attend an in-person session to test their skills.
